Discrimination in Providing Services

Federal law expressly forbids companies from discrimination in the provision of their services based upon political viewpoints, religious viewpoints, or upon similar criteria.

Forget the whole smokescreen distraction of endless debate about Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, as that has, at best, actually very little to do with the real issue.  Instead, there are explicit and commanding federal statutes, located off within completely different areas of the United States Code, that deal decisively with these wholly un-American entities rearing their evil and ugly heads in recent years to illegally discriminate against entire classes of peoples, associations, and businesses.

When any crowdfunding platform (e.g., GoFundMe, etc.), or any bank, or any other financial institution, or any other commercial enterprise of any kind whatever, either burdens, restricts or even cancels a user's services, unfairly based upon any of the prohibited criteria, that is expressly illegal, and gives express rise to a federal statutory cause of action for all civil damages resulting from such discrimination.

Moreover, in the case of discrimination due to political and/or religious viewpoints, those are acts of tortious interference with social opportunity and/or acts of tortious interference with political opportunity.  Although not generally applicable to private entities, under certain scenarios such acts could also be unlawful First Amendment discrimination, i.e., for dramatically increasing the civil damages awarded in your favor, especially for religious viewpoint discrimination.  Further, such illegal acts of discrimination with regards to either religious and/or political viewpoints may also constitute certain federal crimes.

While not exactly the same subject, general expansion of this Topic will also cover workplace/employer discrimination of political and/or religious viewpoints, and this Topic will also cover just plain outright refusal of service (even like a restaurant or whatever) based upon the same issues, i.e., political and/or religious viewpoints.

Additionally, there are variously similar aspects related to governmental COVID-19 lockdown discrimination against only some kinds of entities but not against others.
